You've got a DREAM. You gotta protect it!!

Good movie entertains, truly great movie inspires. If I were to mention one movie title that's truly great, "The Pursuit of Happyness" should be the one.

“You’ve got a dream, you gotta protect it. Don't let somebody tell you, you can't do something."

Most people can dream, and they love it. However, most people suddenly realize that dream is not for everybody. "Get a life, and stop dreaming!" is strong enough to make them come back to a mediocre life.

When I was in my first year, my university required me to take English Proficiency class, a class for people whose command of English is below average. I told myself "Maybe I think too high of myself."... and I thought that I will never be able to give a speech eloquently, and I didn't cut to be on the stage.

However, slowly, I started to re-discover my faith. I told myself, I will prove them wrong. I will be on stage before I graduate from university. I don't care how many people are the audiences. I MUST BE on a stage and talk.

If 20 people sit and listen to me talking on stage, I could leave my university feeling satisfied. I achieved my dream. I stood on the stage talking to 200 people, including Singapore Parliamentary Secretary and NTU Students' Union President. I asked God for 20, and He gave me 200.

In 28 August 1963, Martin Luther King, Jr said in his speech:
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

45 years later, a black guy called Barack
Obama stands as a front-runner for US Presidency.

My friends, don't let anyone tell you "your dream is impossible." If they say so, you have all the right to say "yes, it's impossible FOR YOU. It's possible for me. Shut up and let me continue pursuing my dream!"
